Flights - booked.
All I need now is a suitcase and then I’m off to Tokyo!
This week is my last week at HSBC and in Southampton, and after spending the last 4 years here I’ll finally be moving back to St Albans. But once again, I’ll only be there for about a month as I’ll be heading out to Hong Kong in September before moving onto Tokyo!
Everyone who’s heard through the grapevine keeps asking how long I plan to stay in Tokyo for and the simple answer is that I have no idea! I don’t know how long I’ll be out there for but my guess is that I’ll stay until I get bored of the job and run out of money, or maybe just until I start missing home too much.
I’ll be celebrating my birthday in September out in my favourite city in the UK and then jetting off the week after, so please do come and see me before I go! And I’ll try to document my experiences in a new blog whilst I’m away so that friends and family at home can see what I’m up to.

Did you know? The castles at Disney resorts are constructed utilizing an optical trick known as forced perspective, which makes the castle appear much larger than it actually is. As the castle gets taller, the proportions actually become smaller!
On July 17, 1955 Disneyland in Anaheim, California’s turnstiles began to spin as thousands of patrons flocked to visit “the happiest place on earth” — boasting just 20 attractions at the time — and visitors haven’t slowed down since! Today, Disneyland is the second-most attended park in the world behind Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida.
Since Anaheim’s grand opening in 1955, Disney fans & tourists have witnessed the construction of 4 additional parks; Magic Kingdom, Tokyo Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, and Hong Kong Disney, as well as the anticipation of a Shanghai Disney opening in 2015.

I was doing some shopping in Marks & Spencer today, and there was an elderly lady in front of me in the queue when I was paying. When the guy at the checkout gave her her change, he said, “here’s some change for your car parking!” with a big cheesy grin on his face.
When he gave me my change, he said, “here’s some change for your bus fare!” with the same ridiculous grin.
I used the change to pay for my parking.
